The Pacific Ocean translated in Latin “mare Pacificum” or “peaceful sea” is the largest body of water in the world and surrounds some of the most beautiful islands in the world. Inspired by the trails of islands and seas in the South Pacific; symbolized here in oil paint and gold leaf are the white sandy beaches, and rocky, volcanic islands. The movement of the ocean was created with bold strokes of various blues.
